Trochelhill proved to be a rare gem in a beautiful part of Scotland. The welcome, state of the art rooms and first class breakfasts were all absolutely excellent- the best we\\\'ve ever experienced! We will definitely return! Ian and Dian were magnificent hosts!

Although we chose the weekend of the floods to visit Trochelhill it did not spoil our enjoyment of the best hotel that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Having recently been re-furbished the rooms are fantastic with nothing left to chance and the hospitality of Ian and Dian could not be beaten.
Will we go again - bloody right we will. Tell your friends this is a treat not to be missed and order the full breakfast as you wont need to eat again that day!!!

My father and I stayed there just for one night, but wished it could have been longer. It was the nicest place we stayed at during our time in Scotland. The room had lots of special touches, like a hot water bottle and a chocolate on the pillow, that made our stay most enjoyable. Ian and Dian where lovely hosts and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic.

We´ve stayed for 3 nights in Trochelhill last summer. We were in our honeymoon and it was the best time we had in. It was the warmest stay and the lovely hospitality of the owners will be in our memory forever. We will try to come back. Best regards from BerlinSaturday 6th March 2010 @ 18:32:52 PM
Trochelhill is a lovely house with generous sized and spotlessly clean rooms.
Dian is a very keen and excellent baker, and the old fashioned tea laid out on the dining room table set the tone for what was a wonderful stay. We had a mountain of lovely fluffy towels on our bed, and came home after a late night to find hot water bottles in our beds. They are a wonderfully thoughtful couple, extremely hospitable, and seemed genuinely disappointed that we didn\'t order a cooked breakfast from their extensive menu. (I opted for leftover scones from the previous day\'s tea)
I cannot fault Ian and Dian in any way. They are extremely helpful without being obtrusive, they are every bit as warm and lovely as their home, and their hospitality is extremely generous.
A rare find. Highly recommended, and well worth a trip for the scones alone ...

O what a wee gem... We arrived on a real misty dreich afternoon, but from the moment we set eyes on Trochelhill Country House we new we\'d struck lucky. Dian and Ian welcomed us with a warm and friendly greeting, then we were shown up to our accommodation, the Ordiequish room. This was very bright and spacious and decorated to an extremely high standard, as was the whole house. We also appreciated all the thoughtful extra wee touches in our room. We were then invited down to the lovely cosy dinning room for afternoon tea with a great selection of Dian\'s home-baked scones and cakes which were absolutely delicious.Had a peaceful night\'s sleep and in the morning went down to a full Scottish breakfast with again Dian pushing the boat out with her homemade bread. Bruce and I have stayed in hotels and B&Bs all over Scotland over the past 38 years but we feel that Dian and Ian have got the balance spot on. We will definitely be re~booking when next near Fochabers.

Four of us stayed for two night while we were touring in the region in MAY 2010. We were blown away with the wonderful reception we had on arrival, fresh coffee and home made cake, then by the sheer quality of the accommodation which compared with many five star hotels was genuinely better. Just a great experience.
